Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 3 large green peppers , grated on the large holes of a box grater, or in a food processor
- 2 large onions , chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder , or to taste
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 (19.75 ounce) cans pork and beans, such as Campbell’s® Pork and Beans
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cook and stir ground beef, green pepper, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together in a large skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in pork and beans, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour into a 9×13-inch baking pan. Cover with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven until hot and bubbly, about 1 hour.
